Did you know about the District Council Meeting?

Did you know that you can directly influence who gets into the District 74 leadership and the direction of Southern Africa Toastmasters? As the member, you are a shareholder and you are the most important person in our organisation.Please join us for the District Council Meeting on Saturday, 18 May 2019, 09:25 at Thaba Eco Hotel Johannesburg. For this session only, entrance is free of charge.

At this meeting, the outgoing District Leadership will give table their reports, we will discuss which clubs fall under which area, we will elect the 2019/2020 District leadership and suggestions on changes of our local governing rules will be discussed. A Council meeting is a great tool to learn more about District business. Although all members are welcome to attend, only the District Council can vote.

The District Council is made up of the following:

· Club Presidents

· Club Vice Presidents Education

· Area Directors

· Division Directors

· District Cabinet

If your Club President or VPE are not able to make it to the meeting, any paid up member of their club can hold a proxy and vote on their behalf. How cool is that?! Here is the link to assign proxies: http://toastmastersdistrict74.formstack.com/forms/d74_council_proxy.
