Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District leader:
My profession is in Human Resources recruitment, I identify skills that are suitable for different positions. I prepare candidates for interviews, motivate , coach ,mentor and upskill them. In Toastmasters I will use these skills to motivate, mentor and upskills members to rise to the challenge and hone their leadership and speaking skills.
 
What experience do you have in strategic planning?
When headhunting top executive skills, strategic planning is imperative. There are deadlines and project milestones that need to be achieved to successful headhunt executives. We engage in strategic visioning, direction and implementation. We have a robust critical analysis of the whole value chain as a way of perfecting the process. As a Managing Partner I provide strategic oversight for the company which comes hand in this Toastmasters leadership role.
 
What experience do you have in the area of finance?
I am a qualified Banking and Finance graduate which positions me in good stead when it comes to financial matters. I have worked as a Credit Analyst responsible for analysis of the financial soundness of clients for credit purposes.
 
What experience do you have in developing procedures?
As a Managing Partner of the company, I developed policies and procedures that guide the way we operate. The procedures are the foundation for the company. I have solid experience in developing policies and procedures.
 
What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?
A leader is as good as the team you lead. It`s about teamwork, hence it`s imperative that the team is motivated to achieve objectives. A leader should mold, shape the future through a compelling vision that takes people where they ought to be. My philosophy is always lead with a Head, Heart and Hands, the 3H total leadership philosophy.
 
Why do you want to serve as a District leader?
My motto is "Unleash your Potential" and being a Division Director ensures that I am in the cockpit of leadership. This will help me to unleash the latent leader within our members. I intend to empower our members with knowledge so that they rise above limitations.
 
In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?
The mission statement for our District is "We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence." As a seasoned Toastmasters I am a pillar to the fulfillment of the mission by ensuring that we build more clubs, Support struggling clubs with vibrant mentorship and coaching. I will take the Division on a Higher Pedestal while anchored by the mission objectives.
 
Additional information about yourself
I am a fervent, zealous Toastmaster who is at the heart of the Area H2 meteoric rise. I was instrumental in reviving a struggling club in H2. Mariswe Toastmasters used to struggle with membership but through my resilient and dedicated leadership we managed to turnaround the club to become the flagship of Division H. Now Mariswe Toastmasters is robust, vibrant club that consistently achieve Presidents Distinguished 3 years in a row.
