Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District leader:
Manages roofhouse limited, an advertising agency, as the overall team leader and with vast people management, marketing and communication skills
Trains middle and top management leaders in public speaking, emotional intelligence and leadership skills
What experience do you have in strategic planning?
Since 2008 have been leading the annual budgeting sessions for our company as well as SWOT analysis.
What experience do you have in the area of finance?
Conversant with the Management and Final Accounts
What experience do you have in developing procedures?
While running roofhouse, have had opportunities to train personnel on the job and sometimes sent them to attend workshops and conferences to broaden their understanding and sharpen their skills.
What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?
Big decisions require the involvement of the team for their buy in.
Why do you want to serve as a District leader?
My interest first is in seeing members achieve their personal goals by helping them understand their WHY. Without a purpose, it is difficult for any person to grow.
And secondly, I love challenges and hence I am keen to meet and solve challenges this position has.
In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?
In my opinion, to grow the number of clubs through retention of existing clubs and creating new ones.
