Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District leader:
Operations Manager who is responsible among others to manage relations with organised Labour and Gender Advisory Services to management on dispute prevention and resolution.
Coach, guide/advice and train first line management and staff on compliance requirements to all relevant regulatory (internal and external) frameworks.
What experience do you have in strategic planning?
As an Operations Manager for Transnet, part of my duties has to do with strategic planning for the company. I am involved in developing policies for my church.
What experience do you have in the area of finance?
I am in charge of managing the budget of my depot in my current position.
What experience do you have in developing procedures?
I have written a number of safe working procedure for my depot and I have also developed some policies for my church.
What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?
Always be humble and leadership is about serving the interest of those you lead.
Why do you want to serve as a District leader?
To give back to Toastmasters all that I have learned and to continue on my journey of learning through leadership.
In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?
Membership growth and leadership. I will continue in the footsteps of previous leadership to encourage and empower for every member matters for District 74.

Computer skills, problem solving skills, taking initiative, administration knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills. Six years of extensive experience working as a Depot Manager (Operations).
Representing the company in cases (for 10 years) and the company, which equates to years extensive hands on experience in handling of disputes, grievances and disciplinary hearings internally and at CCMA level.
