Like a young child, the thought of getting to the other side of the road to buy an ice cream is very exciting but it is almost impossible for them to cross the busy road without an adult holding their hand. I liken this to the mentorship program that we have in Toastmasters. My name is Siphosenkosi Jedidiah Kadzutu, from Executive Toastmaster Club in Harare, Zimbabwe. I joined Toastmasters with the expectation of becoming a better communicator and I was assigned a mentor, Lloyd Mugabe, who has held my hand as I pursue that goal. In the last 2020 International Speech contest, my mentor took me through this journey step by step and I went on to win the competition in my home club! The Toastmasters mentorship program helps you on your journey to the others side of the road, be it in your Toastmasters journey or in your personal life. Let someone hold your hand. Join Toastmasters to become the best version of yourself.
