Every year, seats at our District 74 annual conferences are sold out. The conferences are attended by most members from different divisions within District 74. One major challenge we have encountered in the past is late registrations by members. Members would wait until the dying hours to make their ticket purchases. Given the space limits and other logistics involved, we had to decline all late requests, sadly.
As we prepare for the 2020 Royal Conference, we encourage all members to make their reservations on time, bearing in mind space limitations. Though we want to accommodate all members, space is a challenge. For the upcoming Conference, we have managed to secure a 400 seater conference venue, which to date is almost half sold. Due to a sizable District 74 membership (over 4000 members), we will be working on a first come, first served principle.
The 2020 Royal Conference will be hosted at the famous and elegant Royal Elephant Hotel in Pretoria, between the 7th to 10th May 2020; you cannot afford to miss out! The Conference will be adorned by the presence of some of our seasoned District speakers, who will go head to head, stage to stage and speech to speech to be crowned District 74’s best speakers in the International Prepared Speech, Evaluations and Table Topics contests. Other memorable moments will include the election of the new Directorate for 2020/21 as well as networking with our district leaders, members, and international visitors and guests.
