After first hearing about Toastmasters when I was in high school, I joined Madison Toastmasters Club in Lusaka, Zambia where I first met DTM Patience Chisanga. She left me in awe and inspired by her level of eloquence. When I paid my subscription fees in March and after enquiring about mentorship, Patience became my mentor. Speaking in Toastmasters has provided me with new opportunities and I am proud of my accomplishments. Under Patience’s mentorship, I am the current VPPR in my club and also the Division M’s PR Coordinator. When I look back at my growth, I marvel. There’s so much more that a person can learn in Toastmasters, should they have a teachable spirit.
