I am passionate about books, martial arts and philanthropy. I’ve always feared speaking in public and lacked confidence. So much so that I would tremble and panic when speaking. I joined Maputo Toastmasters in Mozambique in June 2020 in order to reach one of the goals I set for 2020 – acquiring public speaking skills. Stepping out of my comfort zone, I accepted the challenge of becoming the Co-VPE and SAA, shortly after I joined the club. Apart from communication skills, I discovered a huge network of supportive and interesting people. Toastmasters is a journey I have just started, but I am sure it will lead me to where I want to be.
