Growing up, I was brought up in a family with leadership roots as my grandfather was a traditional leader. I modeled my life around his leadership skills and qualities as he was largely regarded as an effective leader and disciplinarian, but losing my parents at a tender age resulted in me having low self-esteem. This eroded my self-confidence despite being academically gifted and having many talents.
After graduating from University I learnt about Toastmasters then I recently joined Gaborone Toastmasters Club in Botswana after realising that I want to become a world-class leader, finance and investments expert, analyst-strategist, author, keynote speaker and ultimately an investor. Toastmasters has helped me a lot as I have since published a self help book titled ‘The Power of Self-Belief’ in collaboration with a US based author and business speaker, who crafted its foreword and is a Toastmaster too.
To date I have regained my confidence and my goal is to become a Distinguished Toastmaster as soon as possible.
