For Glenis Whitehead of ACT Toastmasters Club, the journey was never about collecting awards. “I did not set out to achieve multiple awards for myself,” she explains. “My focus was on helping my club meet its goals in the Club Success Plan.” Her progress came as a natural outcome of contributing, supporting, and fulfilling her role within the club.

Glenis approaches each project with a simple but powerful mindset: see it through to the end. “When I tackle a project, my intention is to complete it, because that’s how I get the most value out of the program,” she says. Instead of chasing recognition, she looks at what comes next and how each step can help her continue refining her skills. The process is about growth, not ticking boxes.
