Dear History Maker,

I admire you. It takes a special kind of person to make a choice to invest in themselves so that they can give abundantly.

The world needs you to be a better brother/sister, to be a better parent/guardian, to be a better boss/community leader. Over the last 5 months, I have had the privilege to listen to many stories of members whose careers, relationships with family and friends have been improved owing to the skills they developed through Toastmasters.

We made history on a number of fronts in Toastmasters most notably the appointment of Michael Shackleton, DTM as Member of Parliament in South Africa.

I believe if many of our business/corporate and national leaders in Africa made a similar choice to yours of joining Toastmasters, our lives would be so much better. I believe that with all the experience you are getting from your journey, the stage is set for you to be the leader that the continent needs you to be.

Thank you for your fellowship in Toastmasters. I am proud to associate with someone like you, someone that made a choice to invest in themselves so that they can give love, purpose, freedom, peace and all the other things this world longs for. I admire you.
