We have all felt the loss

How do I express the loss that is being felt around the world of Merryl Jubber? She gave of her time and energy to a cause that many of us hold dear. She stepped up to serve others by taking on a role that many shy away from without pause. Words cannot truly capture the loss we are all feeling.

Albert Einstein said “the value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive.” Merryl gave. She gave to her Toastmasters family. Those of us in District Leadership know that it can be a thankless job. Our thanks are in the smiles of those we see moving forward. Merryl supported not only the members of her own District but others around the world. Our District Director group this year became close. We have all felt the loss of one of our own. Thank you Merryl for being a friend to your fellow leaders around the world. Thank you Merryl for supporting us when we needed it. Thank you Merryl for your service. We will miss you.
