I have a bittersweet feeling now that the year has drawn to a close. On the one hand, I look forward to having more relaxed Sundays, but on the other hand I feel like I could have done even more, to contribute to the success of the District.

The year 2020/2021 was a significant year as it was really about defining how the District will operate going into the future. The true success of this year will be felt over the next three years. I have many highlights, but I guess the District arranged COT which drew 1 000 attendees, 50 zoom masters and over 7 zoom accounts was absolutely exhilarating.

Toastmasters is where Leaders are made! Toastmasters is a learn-by-doing organisation where we strive to be the best that we can be. My years in Toastmasters have taught me to always try to be better than I was yesterday. This is what has motivated me to take on a leadership role in Cabinet, to contribute, give back and grow. Grow both myself and those I am in contact with. To work towards Achieving Excellence in my role and in District 74.
