My first physical meeting with Madison Toastmasters Club in Lusaka, Zambia was in December 2020, three months after I joined the club, virtually. The invitation said it would be informal so I walked in expecting not to speak. Well, I did and felt completely at home in spite of the wobbly knees. In pursuit of opportunities for personal growth, Toastmasters appealed to me as a place for well thought-through conversations and meaningful interaction with like minded people. I am confident that on this journey, I have a strong support system that will allow me to thrive. I anticipate discoveries of what I am capable of achieving.
