Note from the Editor

We have all heard the saying-in fact, it’s been driven into our minds of late: “These are unprecedented times.” One thing that has held strong this year is the positivity of the Toastmasters community, no matter how uncertain things may have been. The Toastmaster’s community spirit has shown no sign of fading, no matter what life is throwing at us.

In this, our last edition in 2020 before we take a break, we will read about how a clear sense of purpose enables you to focus your efforts on what matters most, compelling you to take risks and push forward regardless of the odds or obstacles in your way as James Chiumia, Division Y Director, has come to realize. He is helping his Division members to find their whY, while in service.

Right up front, find out  more about currently running Division programmes like Mentorship without Borders and the upcoming  MayCon, besides Club, Area and Division news from Southern Africa found in the regular pillars.

2020 has been a whirlwind and the hope for 2021 is that we can grow from everything that’s happened.  We at Achieving Excellence are so thankful to you our readers for your outstanding support and we can’t wait to see what the second half of the Toastmasters year brings. Thank you as always, for reading our news.

There is still time to send in your year end meetings, anniversary celebrations and other news with photos, so you can be in the next edition, on 15 January 2021. Please send your 50-100 words articles with good pictures to excellence@toastmasters74.org and Cc to district74pr@gmail.com.

Be well
