It was only befitting that the moment lockdown restrictions were eased, the Centurion Toastmasters Club made history on 23 September 2020 by hosting a combined live streamed on-line and physical meeting. The meeting was meant to accommodate members, guests and visitors, including the USA, who were, for various reasons, unable to attend. Legal compliance was still observed and befittingly, the theme of the first meeting since lockdown was titled “Prison Break”. Members were encouraged to dress up for the occasion. On-line success was ensured by testing the setup well in advance, having two stream devices and a spare battery as backup and an Ipad recording for those who missed the live meeting. Computer screen capture was projected onto a wall for club members and on-line viewers to be able to follow the entire meeting procedure. This allowed everyone to interact and contributed to a wonderful fellowship experience for all during the meeting.
