Arrival at Nedbank’s exquisite Olwazini Conference Venue was a MAGICAL EXPERIENCE – POINT!!! The facilities were BEYOND 5 stars, the staff pleasantly friendly, going BEYOND the call of duty and the beauty, comfort and aesthetics of the facilities, set the tone for an incredible RoaRCon Event – THANK YOU NEDBANK OLWAZINI!!!!
We kicked off the event with the traditional FLAG CEREMONY, welcoming everyone and setting the tone for a GREAT ROOOOOOOOAR!!! Then International Director, Frank Tsuro DTM, Inspired the audience, not just related to conference but to sow powerful seeds while displaying his unique THOUGHT LEADERSHIP giftings to empower District 74 for SUCCESS! Followed by District 74 Director, Granny Be007 Conference Address, where she brought “home” the realisation that each one has an INDIVIDUAL journey as a Toastmaster that will provide the success we need, just like each chicken HAS TO break out of their OWN shell WITHOUT the help of the “mother” in order to face life OUTSIDE the egg! She challenged the audience to CARE enough for yourself and others, with – What is YOUR EGG, that YOU need to break out of, so that you can face life & SUCCEED outside of Toastmasters?

Early morning BREAKFAST BUFFET was an absolute delight (sssshhhh 🤫😉 don’t tell others that the BONUS of a great conference is also ENJOYING GREAT FOOD!!!) We then heard the heart wrenching story of Thokozile Zambane’s District Contest experience and how she recovered, by powerfully sharing, how to ” Lead with emotional Intelligence”
During the networking time many were “Cared for” by our Stock Custodian, Lilian Wade as she faithfully assisted those claiming their REWARDS (remember those CFRs 🤩) After lunch, Nozipho Tshabalala, took us on a very interesting thought provoking journey of “The Future of Communication”! Saturday Morning HIGHLIGHT was the District 74 International Speech Contest, followed by empowering youthful PDD Andrew Tsuro DTM, inspiring us with “Persuasive Speaking Techniques” and then some of us needed MUCH MORE TIME 😉 to GET READY for our “Black Tie” Hall of Fame with SPECIAL AWARD RECIPIENT – Vusi Thembekwayo!
