These days everybody is crazy about goals and a lot of them are temporary look good social media goals. A goal is an object of a person’s ambition or efforts, when a person achieves a goal it brings a lot of self-fulfillment. But what if the goal is impossible, or the dream is too big it’s scary? Well then in that case you have to get mad about it. Literally! Have you ever come across a determined person trying to achieve their goal? You think a lot of things are impossible until you see a determined person do them. They will stop at NOTHING till they achieve it. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying go out there and be reckless. I am simply saying you could learn a thing or two from a determined person.
“Determination” does not care if somebody is watching or not, it doesn’t need an audience. It simply does whatever it is it feels like being mad about. We are so caught up in thinking about what people say and what people will think of us when we try to achieve the impossible, that we begin to limit ourselves. I learnt that in order for you to achieve the impossible you have to be willing to do the impossible. Most importantly to note, is that, the impossible will seem impossible, so before it becomes possible accept the fact that you might fail whilst trying. Bruce Barton acknowledged this when he said “Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change – this is the rhythm of living. Out of our over-confidence, fear, out of our fear, vision, clearer vision, fresh hope. And out of hope, progress”
Tenacity of a determined man is totally mind blowing. Various men and women have broken records by doing “impossible things” . You can achieve the impossible if you get crazy about it, and focus on your goal.
What impossible goal will you be setting this year to achieve?
