Club Growth Directors – Growing the District, one club at a time

It has been an absolute honour to serve the esteemed members of District 74 as the Club Growth Director. Due to Covid 19 we had to change course and do things differently, utilising digital platforms. One of my great moments was witnessing members quickly transform into digital natives and holding effective online meetings and events. Another key highlight was when we launched District Open House meetings, which led to the conversion of many guests to members as well as the launch of new clubs online. Seeing members grow on the online platforms and becoming best versions of themselves was priceless for me. Seeing new clubs being launched and new members signing up and growing was gratifying .

On a personal note, I grew to be a strategist, mastering how to be a cheerleader, motivator, persuasive leader and achieving results through others. One dark moment was losing my friend, my mentor, my greatest cheerleader and District Director, DTM Merryl Jubber. I am still in shock and slowly coming to grips with it.

Lastly I want to thank every members of District 74 for your invaluable support. I always will be a proud and engaged Toastmaster.

Wow, this is a great question!
I am looking forward to serving the current Toastmasters and future Toastmasters in District 74. I believe every member, current and future, deserves to be in a vibrant, legacy club! The opportunities around building legacy clubs are exciting!  Achieving this goal will be rewarding for every member that participate in making their club a legacy club and ultimately our District 74 mission of building new clubs, as we spread the value of Toastmasters, as well as ensuring that existing clubs achieve excellence.
