An accountant by profession, my name is Angie Chirowamangu. I am a member of the L’Amour Club from Harare, Zimbabwe. I grew up in Zimbabwe and I have lived in four different countries, namely, Zimbabwe, Canada, the U.S and now Ghana. My last job was in government accounting.

My husband’s job gives me the opportunity to work with the community around where we live, but because of Covid I haven’t been able to go out as much. My role as the ‘first lady’ of our mining community requires a lot of public speaking. I joined Toastmasters so I can gain the confidence needed to speak in front of a lot of people. I also want to better my communications skills in relation to the accounting profession,  as well as learn one particular communication skill I struggle with, listening! I am also looking forward to the camaraderie that comes with being a member of Toastmasters.
