As my dream of living the Fit & Fabulous life in my Forties approached, I wanted to evolve, redirect and reinvent the brand Simisosenkosi. I rewarded myself with joining the Evolving Ladies Toastmasters Club. This was in a bid to re-emerge as a strong and confident counsellor, leader and speaker and I felt that Toastmasters would give me this exposure as “I began life” at forty.

As a professional counsellor, qualities of a very good listener and speaker are essential. The speech preparations, feedback and evaluations in Toastmasters are the perfect tools that I need in refining my expertise.

Delivering my ice breaker at my club was an exhilarating moment, which marked the beginning of this journey, the feedback from my club members was astounding. I am looking forward to the Toastmasters journey and, yes one day achieving Distinguished Toastmaster status.
