Division L has lived up to the well-known quote “Teamwork makes the dream work” in the Toastmasters year 20/21. For the second edition of Club Officer Training, they took it to even greater heights by teaming up with Division E to present LovE COTii. The collaborative training session took place on the morning of 30 January 2021, two days shy of the month of love and did they not bring on the love?

The training session was a love story like no other, both Divisions garnered a whopping 150 club leaders in attendance who came through dressed in their best red and white attire in accordance with the theme. The MC, Yanga Gceya, took us through the proceedings with his profound quote of the day: “Leadership over ego is LovE”. It did not just stop there, coincidently, it was the birthday of Division L Director, Lucinda Harman so it became a celebration of a leader and leadership in love. A day of great news it was when Keith Bowen presented the reformation of the district where Mauritius will be added to the District.

Over and above the training, club officers from all over District 74 got an inside loop into the Secret of Top Quality Clubs presented by Sandra Cooper.

The event was a true success with evidence that a lot of heart went into the production and execution of the event. Hey Division L and Division E how about “Teamwork makes the LovE work?”
