Zambezi Toastmasters Club from Lusaka, Zambia, hosted the Toastmasters International President Richard E. Peck, DTM on the 28th of January. It was a culturally enriching experience with a good turnout of Toastmasters and guests from all over the globe reaching close to 100 participants. Guests were treated to a taste of the wonders of Zambia and got a feel of the Zambezi club spirit.

The Club was graced with President Richard providing an inspirational speech. In his speech the President highlighted the need to remain resilient in these challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic. He also brought to light how the Covid-19 pandemic provides new opportunities not thought of before, such as attending meetings in other countries without the need of a passport or getting any jet lag.

The President also served as General Evaluator and gave valuable insight to improving the digital online club meeting experience.

In commemoration of his visit, Zambezi gifted the President with a Zambia shaped wall clock that embodied Zambia’s rich copper resource and the mighty Victoria Falls.
