The name Siyakha means “we are building” in Zulu. It was birthed from the idea of building more clubs in Soweto as there was only one chartered club for more than 14 years. This idea was founded in 2019 by members of the first club chartered in Soweto.

Siyakha went through a three months break during the hard lockdown, had to discard two venues and none of the chartering members were with us during the launch event back in October 2019. Today we are proud to host events that allow everyone to present their speeches in their own mother tongue, as we don’t believe language should be a barrier. Communication skills are a necessity in every language.

We are currently meeting on Zoom every 1^st and 3^rd Saturday of the month from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
